Schools and Kids – Canterbury Handball

Our very own Cashmere High School team placed second at the 2018 New Zealand Secondary Schools Handball Championships. They narrowly lost the final match to St Patricks College Wellington 20-24. Pivot Wayo Whyte was top goal scorer for the tournament and Goalkeeper Alex Browne was the best goalkeeper. The team also won fairest team to boot.

Hundreds of New Zealand school students will soon be playing handball as part of their PE classes, thanks to a NZ Handball Federation programme using portable goals from Packaworld International. The initiative will see the goals supplied to selected schools in Auckland, Christchurch and Dunedin.
